Algeria has consistently demonstrated its commitment to organizing major sporting events. No sooner does one event conclude than preparations begin for the next, each one surpassing the last. Today, Algeria proudly takes on a new challenge: hosting the 15th edition of the Arab Sports Games in 2023, a sporting event of immense significance.
Drawing on its expertise and available resources, Algeria, as it has done in previous occasions, will spare no effort in ensuring the resounding success of this edition, making it a truly historic occasion. Every endeavor will be made to create optimal conditions for welcoming participating delegations and providing suitable venues for the sports competitions. In this regard, the High Committee responsible for organizing the Games, in close collaboration with all sectors and stakeholders, will mobilize all necessary human and material resources to ensure the Games’ triumph. Approximately 3,500 athletes representing 20 disciplines will take part, with the competitions set to be held across five host cities: Algiers, Tipaza, Oran, Constantine, and Annaba.
They will be accompanied by numerous dedicated volunteers, all united in their commitment to realizing this grand Arab celebration.
In response to the aspirations and requirements of today’s youth—the digital and technological generation that characterizes our world—Algeria, in its continual pursuit of enhancing experience and embracing constant improvement in the organization and management of sports events, has introduced a pioneering integrated information system. Developed by Algerian experts, this system enables the seamless coordination of the Arab Sports Games. Moreover, an official website dedicated to the Games has been launched, along with the creation of social media pages and accounts across various platforms. These platforms serve as invaluable resources for sports enthusiasts, visitors, and participants, providing them with comprehensive information and updates about the Games.
Finally, given the magnitude of the preparations and the commitment of the highest authorities in Algeria to ensure the resounding success of this sports event—aimed at fostering principles of brotherhood, love, and fair competition among athletes, while strengthening friendships among the youth and peoples of the region—we extend our heartfelt wishes for a truly enjoyable stay in Algeria. May the Arab champions deliver exceptional and distinguished sporting performances, achieving remarkable accomplishments and results that bring honor not only to their respective countries but to the entire Arab world.
